This is an extraordinarily fruit generous wine, with an opulence reminiscent of our 1999. Plum, cherry and violet are the most obvious fruit elements on the bouquet. The palate is lush, long and well structured and the fruit flavour imitates that of the bouquet. As always, fruit is complemented by savoury and smoky oak characters, braced with firm acidity and structured around ripe, firm, fine tannin.

This is the most approachable Picardy Merlot Cabernet so far.
