Picardy has proven Pemberton Shiraz can be fabulous. This wine will please those who enjoy cool climate grown Shiraz as well as those who cherish some earthy complexities. Aged in high quality Meyrieux small oak barrels, the wine is complex and unique. It has a deep purple-red colour and rich, ripe aromas of black cherry and plum. The palate has a fleshy texture with some density and offers up sweet fruit with spicy, gamy, smoky overtones. Tannins are generous but supple. Impressive length and balance fill in the picture. Great drinking with red meat dishes.
