The 2003 vintage was very similar to 2002 but with a bit of heat during the early harvest period which resulted in wines with a bit more structure and riper fruit flavours compared with those of 2002. |

The 2002 vintage was a dry, cool long vintage. Like the 2000 vintage if the vinyard was carrying large crops, they had ripening problems. At Picardy all of the varieties naturally yielded very low. In the case of the Chardonnay 0.6 tonnes per acre. |

The 2001 vintage in South West Western Australia was one of the best ever. The summer was long, cool and dry, leading to perfect ripening conditions and superb quality fruit at harvest. The Pannell Family felt that they were very fortunate having such a great vintage in 1999 but even this was surpassed by the 2001 vintage. The 2000 vintage was also excellent on account of very small yields. |

The 2000 vintage was a long cool low yielding vintage. Vineyards with large crops had ripening problems. At Picardy all of our varieties were very low yielding. |
|
The 1999 vintage had moderate temperatures and a long dry season. It made wines with magnificent structure. |
